K:  But I don't KNOW how the "extensive water damage" got in my computer and I don't want to lie.
Sony Tech:  Ma'am.  We aren't asking you to lie and we don't WANT you to lie.  If you don't know how it happened, we can file a claim about what may have happened.  Sometimes if you just walk though something again, you may be able to remember something you had forgotten.  Do you have any children?
K:  A 2 year old boy.  Can you hold on a second?  (Ethan, stop eating that styrofoam!)
S.T.:  Where do you keep your laptop normally?
K:  On the desk.  (DEREK, can you get that styrofoam out of his mouth?  I'm SERIOUS, ETHAN!  Knock it OFF!)
S.T.:  Would your son be able to climb on a chair and get to your laptop?
K:  If he can climb up on the sink, scale the cabinet, get out a bottle of Flintstones, open the childproof lock and eat 70 of them in under 4 minutes, I think it is safe to say he could reach my laptop on the desk.  (Ethan, styrofoam is DANGER.  Do you want to go to the hospital?)
S.T.:  Does he ever carry a drink around?
K:  Well yesterday he was thirsty and I was upstairs so he brought me a gallon of milk to give him a drink.  (Ethan, Dad took away the styrofoam.  Where in God's name did that piece come from and take it out of your mouth, for the love of God.)
S.T.:  That answers my question, Ma'am.  I think we may be able to figure this one out.

Yes... but... wouldn't you have noticed your computer was A LITTLE WET? I mean, seriously. Something's still not right, here.

Though I do keep lovingly returning to the SonyStyle page to admire the itty bitty computers. Someday.

At this point, I don't think Ethan cares about the "danger" emphasis on things.

      OK, I'll shut up now.

      All very funny though. :)

But isn't it at least comforting that his assumptions mean you're not the first?
